Love Hemp is the UK’s fastest growing – and most trusted - CBD brand.

Our products contain CBD extracted from organically grown Colorado hemp, the finest hemp that has been bred specifically for higher CBD.

It is always 100% THC free, which means it is not psychoactive.

So what is CBD?

Cannabis is a complex plant which contains 483 chemical compounds which can be used for a range of different purposes. The two primary cannabidiols are CBD and THC.

CBD is short for cannabidiol and is one of 113 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. These chemical compounds can have various effects on the body. Derived from the hemp plant, CBD is legal in the UK as a food supplement.

THC – or tetrahydrocannabinol – is derived from THC rich cannabis and is a psychoactive substance. As such, it is not legal to buy in the UK.

The human body is naturally primed for CBD because it contains cannabinoid receptors. In order to pass messages concerning functions such as inflammation, pain, memory, appetite and mood, our body manufacturers endocannabinoids.

Because CBD is a cannabinoid derived from a plant, it can have the same impact on the body as endocannabinoids.

CBD is thought to have a wide range of alleged benefits but three of the most conclusive involve its impact on pain, insomnia and anxiety.

"scientifically proven"

The World Health Organisation reported in 2017 that “there is preliminary evidence that CBD may be useful for a number of medical conditions”, which included Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, pain, anxiety, depression, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, nausea, cardiovascular diseases and diabetic complications.

As a known anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic agent, there has also been anecdotal evidence that CBD can improve the symptoms of insomnia, IBS, skin complains, arthritis and migraines.

Scientists at King’s College in London are currently evaluating CBD’s potential to treat mental health problems including anxiety and depression in a clinical trial.

A rapidly growing range of CBD infused products are coming to the market every year.
These include everything from water and edibles such as jelly domes and chocolate to oils, sprays, body salves and vapes.

Love Hemp has also launched the UK’s first CBD infused face mask.

What is the best way to take CBD?

What is the best way to take CBD? It is largely a matter of choice which type of CBD you use, whether that’s a few drops of CBD oil under your tongue, by inhaling it, digesting it or by absorption through the skin.

As a food supplement, the maximum adult daily recommended dose is 200mg. We would recommend starting by using a Love Hemp product twice per day and taking 10mg each time.

New reports are forecasting a 700% growth in the CBD market to $2.1B by 2020. In the UK, the market for CBD is thought to be generating £50M annually.
